A Boudoir Session as a Gift: How to Give It Well
A session as a gift works best when she gets to choose. The voucher gives her the date, the style and the final say over every image. You give her the invitation; she decides what to do with it.
It’s a very personal gift, so it’s worth giving thoughtfully. Below I explain how the voucher works, who it suits and how to make sure it feels like a gift rather than an obligation.
Key takeaways
- The voucher is valid for 12 months. She chooses the date.
- She chooses the style (portrait, boudoir, sensual or nude) and sets the boundaries.
- The photos belong to her. She decides whether, and with whom, to share them.
- A voucher can cover any package.
- The best gift is one she can take her time with, without pressure.
How the gift voucher works
- Choose a package. La Découverte (2,200 PLN, about 510 EUR), La Maison (3,800 PLN, about 880 EUR), La Couture (6,500 PLN, about 1,500 EUR) or L’Atelier Privé (from 9,000 PLN, about 2,100 EUR). See the pricing page and How much does a boudoir photoshoot cost.
- Write to me. We’ll sort out the voucher details. Contact form.
- Give the voucher. She has 12 months to use it.
- She gets in touch. We talk about what she wants, her style and her boundaries, as with any session.
A gift for her, not for you
This is the most important rule. A boudoir session is a gift to the person receiving it, not a way to get photos for yourself. So:
- She picks the date. She can use it next month or in eleven months.
- She picks the style. She might choose a calm portrait instead of lingerie.
- She has the final say on every image, and decides whether to show them to anyone.
- Privacy is complete. I don’t share anything about the session or the images with anyone else. The first thing I tell her: your photos are yours.
If you’re buying a voucher for your partner, think of it as an invitation: “I want you to see yourself the way I see you.” Not: “I want the photos.”
Who it suits
- A friend who’s been saying “one day I’d love to” for years.
- A partner, wife or fiancée, for a birthday, an anniversary or before a wedding.
- A mother, sister or daughter for a milestone birthday. In that case, a fine art portrait is often a better fit than boudoir.
- Yourself. That counts too.
If you’re not sure she’d want a boudoir session, choose a voucher without a fixed style. She’ll decide in the consultation.
How to give it
Ideally at a calm moment, with a few words of your own. It helps to say she doesn’t have to use it straight away and can choose whatever style suits her. You could include a link to What is a boudoir photoshoot so she knows what to expect.
