The piano says nothing. The body writes a score no one dares to play.

This series was made in a tenement hall where the floor plays its own game and the palms cast a shadow denser than any curtain. The black strokes across the skin are not censorship. They are punctuation. They stop the eye exactly where the photograph stops being about nakedness and starts being about the edge.

What fine art nude photography is

Fine art nude photography treats the unclothed body as form (light, line, sculpture) rather than as subject. It differs from boudoir in that it speaks of shape rather than seduction. It sits closer to charcoal drawing than to an intimate session.

With me, both paths are open. The choice is yours, not the genre's.

How this series was made

Available light only. No strobes, no reflectors. The hour in which the sun crosses the skylight and draws the window's cross onto the marble lasts perhaps forty minutes. The rest is patience and trust.

Black and white does not flatter. It selects. It removes colour to return structure: the grain of skin, the lacquer of a piano, the matte breath of a leaf.

I photograph fine art nude, boudoir and sensual portraiture in Warsaw and on destination sessions across Europe and beyond. I work in Polish and English. Eight years, exhibitions in Chicago, London and Bangkok, and still the same question at every shutter release: does she recognise herself yet?
